Default Swapping parts to make a "different" pistol?

Please move to appropriate forum if applicable.

I am looking at a national match hardball but wanted the option to make it into more of a idpa/uspsa gun via magwell, extended manual safety, high grip safety and rounded hammer in addition to internal changes such as lighter springs and a sear for the 200gr swc. Some will say "then just buy that gun" but the hardball model is what I've had my eye on and it's a good price.

Will the likes of a Ed Brown or Wilson Combat retrofit without any issues other than the minor fitting some parts require? Or is a hardball internal different than a "regular" 1911 in some other way?

A National Match Hardball WHAT?
Obviously a 1911 pattern gun, but what make?

In general the changes you list are entirely possible... but not cheap.

You COULD just shoot it as is; none of those add-ons are essential to good IDPA shooting.

I was a bit vague in my original post. Apologies. I meant getting a Wilson Combat grip safety and/or manual safety and installing it on a Rock River.

Figuring $8 for recoil spring and $8 for mainspring and $6 for Colt sear.

Thumb safety and grip safety are about $35 each?

But the fit issue is the concern. Thank you for the input.

1911 parts are fitted.
Although "upgrading" is a fine sport in itself, it requires knowledge of the workings and fitting of the mechanism to avoid making an expensive piece of junk.
Here's some reading to give you an idea:
"The Colt .45 Automatic: A Shop Manual Volume 1" Book by Jerry Kuhnhausen - MidwayUSA

The #1 reason people stop coming to my IDPA matches is they take a perfectly good gun and "upgrade" it until it is unreliable.
And one fellow bought a Chinese 1911 that never worked right despite a thousand dollars of new parts because the frame was crooked.
For a thousand dollars you can buy a new S&W 1911 Pro series with a factory lifetime warranty; I did.
