Default Stock finish M 41

Not sure where to post this, but you guys know more than the rest of us.

Did the early m-41's use the same linseed/beeswas/turp mix as the revolvers - around 1959?

thanks

Charlie

All I can state is that the M41's I have seen over the years seem to have a high gloss finish which I do not think would be typical with the finish you have described. Not saying they never used it, just saying I've not seen it (to the best of my knowledge) on the M41.
