I haven't posted on the forum in quite awhile, so I hope this is the correct place to pose this question. I bought a Classic 29-10 a couple of years ago and recently took it apart to replace the mainspring and trigger rebound spring with a Wolff spring kit. The trigger pull in double action was too hard and dry firing hundreds of times didn't seem to improve it much. I had no problem with the total job and the gun had a noticeable improvement in single and double action pull. Here's my problem, I was in a hurry to reassemble and noticed later the gun needed cleaning so I took it apart again, cleaned it and reassembled. Now, the cylinder turns on the first trigger pull but then stops unless you hold the muzzle straight down. I've taken this gun apart four times and check every thing I can think of but cannot replicate the first successful reassemble. What am I doing wrong?
I checked the hand to be sure it was fully seated and the side plate seems to be the right placement.
