Default making a front sight for JM625

I am thinking about making a front sight for my 625 with out the gold bead, I get a lot of reflection off of the gold bead and it looks like it would be easy to make one just flat black like a target sight! has any one tried this was going to buy one from S&W but looks like I could make one a lot cheaper.

at 40 bucks a pop sounds a little high I looked at S&W site and thought they were to high, I just might try to take that gold bead off and have a plane partridge but with the removable spring loaded sight seams I could use the original for a pattern, keep thinking I could find a after market a lot cheaper.

The Protocall Design front sights are .100 wide vs the usual .125. Very worthwhile. I have them on my several of my revolvers now.

I do as well and I'm about to order another one. Worth the money for me because I like "all black" sights.
