Default Cylinder locked up

I have a 686 with a jacketed bullet stuck between the forcing comb and barrell. Should I drive it back into the cylinder or try to pull the bullet out? I have atleast 2 live rounds in the gun. They are the shorter 38 cases.
Thanks,
Sam

With a proper size wood dowel or range rod-drive the bullet back in the chamber until it is clear of the forcing cone.

I use a brass rod to drive it back into the cylinder, but some folks use a wood dowel. The live rounds pose no problem.

I took a aluminum gutter nail and drove it back into the cylinder. The problem was using a progressive loader and I put the bullet in before the powder. Thanks,
Sam
