Thanks Alk8944 greatly appreciate the info, NEW 625 extractor rod did not help.
S&W does not do cal changes, the pistol was sent to them first, as they would of been the only ones to do the work & I am sure this would not have happened.
I was not pleased with how long it took, nor the inflated bill, however I am probably going to have to send the pistol off to someone else to have the job done properly, unless I can get S&W to repair it.
Going to call the "reputable smith"
and see how best this can be resolved w/o sending the pistol back to him.
EDIT - you tossed yet another thought up, is the extractor itself too short - it was a new cylinder from S&W - will have to confirm length before tossing mud.
EDIT - extractors all appear to be same length as well as the ejector rods
