That is actually a counter display mat to keep glass display counters from getting banged up. It's really kind of small for a bench mat and if you drop a pin on it you'll need tweezers to pick it out of the mat. For a good work bench mat go to Lowes, Home Depot, etc. and get a rubber welcome mat. Cut it down to whatever size you want with the "Welcome" side down. My bench top has been covered with these for years and they have held up very well and won't hold grit that can scratch a gun like carpet will and seem to be unaffected by any solvent I have ever used.
I got a 17 by 30 inch door mat at WalMart for under $4.00. I picked the cheapest because it was thin and rolled up so nice. It is perfect for working on both rifles and handguns. And is is plain black, no logo on the front. The nap is tight so little parts won't get down in the fibers. Good luck in your search. It didn't have a S&W logo, but when I put my revolver on it, it does.
If you are going to REALLY USE your S&W Logo Mat for gun cleaning and repair work as I do, then get a Bar MAT instead. You know, the ones that have the Liquor logos on them at the Restaurants and Bars. They are a softer consistency and will not curl up (as the S&W mat will) with repeated washing's and usage. Relegate your S&W mat to looking good in your gun room or for just laying down a gun (or a drink) on.
