Default Victory Model Single Action Problem

My Victory model does not cock all the time in single action mode. Any likely reason? I have not had the side plate off.

If the difficulty is intermittent, as your post suggests, I'd suspect dirty innards. Take off the sideplate and clean the workings thoroughly, and see if the problem disappears. Also, check that the strain screw is tight, and the mainspring not binding against the grip screw. Keep us posted.

I have a 4 screw model 10-1 that locks up like a vault in double action, but the cylynder won't lock in place when the hammer is cocked for single action use. Is this the same problem?
