Default 27-2 trigger pull ?

Just purchased my second 27-2. When the trigger is back for single action fire and as you start to apply pressure, you feel a small catch and the hammer goes forward about 1/64" as if the sear feel into a notch. From then on everything is normal and it has the S&W trigger break. What is causing this and how do I fix it. Thanks, Tedog

Robert, I'm not sure what you mean but when I pull the trigger back in double action, I can fill the same notch just before the hammer falls.

First, last and always, when a S&W shows symptoms like this check to see that the mainspring screw in the front of the grip frame is screwed in all the way. Often, someone will back the screw out
(or worse, shorten it) to "tune" the trigger pull. Inevitably, problems ensue.
