Question Model 52 question?

I have two m52's, one is a 98% 52-2 with a tev s/n prefix, one is a well worn and shot 52 with a A s/n prefix. First I have a chipped extractor on the 52 and can not find one?Second the 52-2 doesn't have the normal notched barrell bushing and plate but has a solid plate and bushing unit that screws in by hand. S&W shop says that they have never made one like that but I have it. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? and can anyone help on the extractor problem?
