Default .357 ammo corrosive?

So I'm in Seale, Alabama hunting, and yesterday I discharged my .357 a few times (Federal Premium A Frame JHP). Deposits of course are obvious.

I realized last night I did not bring cleaning supplies. I will not be back home until this weekend.

Any reason to run out and buy supplies? It's fine to leave it dirty until Saturday (four or five days)?

Thanks

Federal ammo isn't corrosive, just a lot of the commie milsurp stuff is. I would just wipe my gun down with a rag, better if it had clp or rem oil.

Nope, the bore will be fine. Just make sure to wipe the gun down with a clean cloth at the end of the day to avoid surface rust, and clean it when you get home.

Default Long guns ?

I have always at least run a couple of oiled patches though any of my firearms after use of any kind. I've got a bud that says I hurt the accuracy of my rifles by always keeping bore cleaned. What's your guys take on this?

Your first shot from a clean bore, called the cold bore shot, often has a slightly different point of impact than subsequent shots. Other than that, no, there is no problem. Just be sure you don't leave a lot of oil in the bore before you shoot if again. If you do leave a significant coating of oil in the bore for storage, run a clean patch through it before you shoot it. Oil in the bore is an obstruction and can increase pressure.
