Question need to drill and tap my M41

I want to put a red dot on M41 bougth a weaver mount but not sure where to drill holes, or which way the mount should be put on it has three cross bar nocths on one end and one on other end, does any one have pics showing location, and any tips on what to do or not to do?

If you can afford it, the later 41s are drilled/tapped already (I think), and you can buy a new barrel assembly and keep your original barrel...original?

I would buy a newer drilled and tapped barrel but if you must drill and tap your current barrel, pay a good gunsmith to do it right.

Agree with both above - by the time you have 4 holes D&T,($20 - $25/hole) - you will have half the cost of a factory D&T spent - get the D&T bbl of your choice.

And you can sell your original barrel to offset the cost of the new D&T barrel.

I have been looking for a drill and taped barrel for about six months can't seam to find one that I can aford, where is best place to buy one.
