Barrel swapping
Does anyone know if a K-frame heavy barrel will screw into a J-frame steel frame?
Numerich has new 38spl factory take off "heavy" barrels that have been cut off at 3" for $15 and change.
Been thinking about a heavy barrel J-frame frankengun project for some time now.
I have access to a beat up J-frame that needs a new barrel.
Anyone try it? Any advise?

Plain and simply, NO! There are several dimensional differences, but, principally, the barrel shanks are different diameters.
