Default Larry Vickers 1911 Enhanced Operator Class

I wanted to post this up in case anyone was interested in attending. We have a couple of spots left to fill.

We are pleased to host Larry Vickers for his 1911 Enhanced Operator Course, March 2-4, 2012. This is a 3 day class with a fee of $675 per student. Space is limited to 16 people per class. There is an additional $60 range usage fee per person. All participants will need to present a current concealed carry permit or law enforcement credentials as a prerequisite for the class.

*This is an advanced level class and is only for Students who have attended previous defensive pistol training programs. As an advanced level class, students should already have an acceptable level of gun handling and marksmanship skills.

1911 operator - 1 day of range drills using a 1911 pistol; drills are specifically designed and tailored to highlight key features of using a 1911 pistol. The 2nd day begins with detail disassembly and assembly along with an operator level troubleshooting class to allow the end user to recognize problems that may develop. Day 3 will be more detailed maintenance and cover basic tuning and fitting of parts. Students are encouraged to bring parts that they want fitted to their pistols. Due to the nature of the class, we will be unable to cover some items such as fitting barrels and tightening slide to frame fit. The fitting of parts will be focused on functional reliability. Bring the parts you want to fit and tools suitable to fit those parts. Parts fitting will be instructed and supervised by Larry Vickers. Larry also will generally do some on the spot gunsmithing on students guns. The day wraps up with some range fire to highlight test fire procedures.
