Default Gunsmith in Colorado

I'm looking for a good gunsmith to work on a couple of older S&W revolvers. Any suggestion in the Denver-Boulder area?

Milt Morrison of Qualite Pistol & revolver used to be the go-to guy, but I haven't been able to locate him for some years now.

Depending on what you need done, you might look into the Colorado School of Trades for your work to be done. It's the oldest gunsmithing school in the U.S. and the instructors there are top-notch. You won't have some unskilled student hacking on your revolver, and the prices are very good. So are the turnaround times.

You could contact "The Firing Line", an indoor range and gun shop, they teach CCW and I was pretty sure they have a gunsmith there also. They are listed in the phone book, located just off 225 in north Denver area.

Just a little mis-leading, and incorrect. While in the same ball-park as others it is, at best, as old.

Pennsylvania Gunsmithing School was begun in 1949, but the program at Trinidad State Junior College was begun in 1947 by P. O. Ackley. This summer is the 65th anniversary of the program. So, at best, the Colorado School of Trades program, also begun in 1947, is the same age as the Trinidad program. Trinidad offers an Associate Degree for college credit, while, to my knowledge, the CST program is simply a trade school.

Lassen Junior (new Community) College Gunsmithing program appears to be gone. I can't say about the others that have been offered in the past.

Another vote for TJ's...they are a bit busy but the wait is worth the results. Integrity, knowledge and willingness to work with the customer are all A-1.

Just like Conifer Shooter says, Tim Gerhardt and his Team at T.J.'s Gunsmithing will do the job(s) you need.

Tim and Fritz have been my gunsmiths for the last 15 years. He does it all.

He's on Airport Blvd North of Buckley. (303) 363-1911.
