Default Recoil spring 945

Ok fellas I know someone has posted this before but a search did not turn up the info.
My 945 purchased in 2002 could sure use a new recoil spring.
However I can't find the number on the Smith website or at any other vender site.
Even the manual that came with the gun has no parts list or schematic.
I emailed S&W and hopefully they will reply.

So for all of us 945 owners who might need parts does anyone have a schematic and parts list?

A big Thank You to all that help.

Bruce

Default update

Today I received an email from Michael at Smith & Wesson.

Part number # 264380000 $19.70 plus S&H

I asked for the standard spring. I'm amazed at the cost, being used to paying much less for springs.
In my spring collection there is nothing exactly the same.

I also found a previous post that listed a # 242980000 part number.

I hope this helps others.

Bruce,

I just ordered 3 recoil springs for my 5" 945 a couple of months ago. Part# 24298 is the standard spring. IIRC... they were $2.90 each, plus shipping.

FYI: I've always found when dealing with S&W the phone is 10X better than e-mail. I know... it sometimes rings forever, but it's worth the repeated attempts to talk to a human.

Good Luck...

Joe

Yeah, it's best to call when asking for such info.

The first (larger) price might have been for the guide rod/spring assembly, meaning the guide rod was included in the cost.

Thanks Joe and Fastbolt. I believe the higher cost is for the whole assembly.
I'll be ordering some extra springs to keep on hand.
