Default Replacement Hammer Nose for Post-War M&P

I have a post-war Military & Police revolver, that was manufactured
in 1947 (with the S pre-fix serial #). I wanted to purchase a spare
hammer nose and rivit. Are these parts the same as a hammer nose,
on a 1970 Model 10, etc.? Also, if they are not the same, where would
I purchase these parts? Thanks for any, information...

I'd check with S&W first, Numrich Arms/Gun Parts Inc. next. I replaced the hammer nose & rivet on a 1917 made whoknows when and the hammer nose was different than more recent production. Not by much, but different.

They're generally have a long service life.

I checked with Smith & Wesson, and they don't carry it. Numrich shows
they carry a hammer nose for the Military & Police, and they have it in stock.
I hope that is the right one. Thanks for the reply...
