Default 1917 44 Special Project Gun

Hello All,
Since this is my first post, I thought I'd ask for some advice on getting a barrel loose. I have an old 44 Special that needs a new barrel. The original barrel is really stuck.
I punched out the top pin on the strap and have it soaking in CLP.
I'll sure appreciate help from you folks.

Welcome! You need a special, dedicated frame wrench that fits around the frame tightly so you can turn the frame off the barrel. Don't try to do it by wrapping rope around the barrel and putting the rope wrapped barrel in a vice and then trying to turn the frame off by putting a hammer handle in the frame. You will surely bend your frame. You either need to get that frame wrench or let a gunsmith do it for you.
