Default Smith and Wesson 686 Problem!! Help!

Hello All,
So I went to the range today and shot about 150 rounds of 357 magnum(high quality factory) through my 686 plus. I came home and tried to open the cylinder for cleaning and could not. I thought okay it just needs a good cleaning and lube and it will be all good. After cleaning the gun for approximately 2 hours, no carbon rings, fully lubed, perfect as I can get it, I still have to bash the cylinder with my fist to get it to pop open! What is going on! Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. The gun has approximate 1250 rds through it with no problems until now.
Thanks,

I've used this for many years on everything from guns to motorcycles to RC cars, very good results for keeping stuff together and yet no hassles when you want to take it apart.

Do you use that on the ejector rod screw? The one on my aforementioned 686 keeps loosening up even with little use of the gun. Does that product work well? Is it safe for the finish? Thanks by the way!

desmoude,

I've never heard of Vibra-Tite, I'll have to look it up.

Thanks for the tip.
