bobbed j frames, smooth or serrated trigger?
my model 60 turns 40 next month and decided to doll her up with a couple new changes. first , i wanted to keep everything original so i bought a case hardened hammer to bob, (the original is stainless). i like it alot. ordered a heavier hammer spring just in case, a 9# wolf. replaced the trigger rebound spring with a 16# wolf. i do carry this every day so dependability must come before a light trigger. put some red rosewood smooth service grips on her,(shhhhh don't tell anybody but they are off a lady smith) they are beautiful. thinking about buying a case hardened polished trigger (no serrations) to replace the original serrated stainless one. what do you guys think? likes or dislikes. thanks.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, looking forward to hearing what like minded shooters think. As they say on the radio " first time caller, long time listener". What do you guys think? Smooth or serrated? I'm probably going to put a polished one on it anyway. Just looking for opinions. Thanks.

I personally like the feel of a smooth trigger especially for DA shooting.

Smooth trigger, Chamfered charge holes, and a BK grip adapter.

Very nice 60. I have the smooth trigger on my model 60, and serrated triggers on my 13-2 and 65-2. prefer the smooth trigger by far. Thinking about switching them all to the smooth trigger.

Sounds good, with the exception that you could have saved some money on the heavier mainspring, unless the original had been lightened. Heavier is not needed. Smooth trigger is much preferred for DA shooting.

Yes, the original had the usual 1 1/2 loops clipped off, And the rebound the usual 1. It works good and smooth but I was getting light strikes about one out of every fifty. Though they were reloads and the primers did look a little deep. I was going to upgrade them anyway.

I'll admit up front that I am "old school" & prefer the serrated trigger. That said I would not change a thing w/the exception of a TGrip, beautiful old classic.
