Default S&W action or trigger jobs

I have a 6906 which I am considering making my EDC. I have one problem however. Before I do I would like to have it checked by a competent gunsmith who would also do an action or trigger job. The reason I am looking for a trigger job is because compared to my Sigs, the trigger on my 6906 feels gritty or rough. As this is the only DA/SA Smith I've owned I don't really know if that's the way they are or does it need some work. The DA trigger pull is fine. Smooth and pretty light but when I cock and pull the trigger, just prior to the hammer falling there just seems to be alot of grittiness or very light binding. It fires fine and I've never had a problem but I just want to make sure. And where besides the Performance Center could I send it? Sig owners have at least three smiths such as Gray Guns, Robert Burke as well as a few others that tune Sigs. Is there a "Smith" version of one of the companies I mentioned or would the Performance Center be my best bet?
Thanks

IMO you should give Grey Guns or Apex Tactical a call. One issue you'll face is that the 3rd generation S&W's are now out of production and don't enjoy the support they once had. However, I would expect that either of the above should be able to help you out.

As for the Performance Center I've seen some posts that lead me to believe that their stock of parts for the 3rd gen pistols is or has dried up. If so they may not be willing to work on your 6906 at all. If you want to have S&W look at servicing your pistol you should definately give them a call. You'll also want to keep in mind that currently they are shut down for the August break.
