Default thanks for the info

i had to say thanks. my 2 month old 442 pro would not release the cylinder. i've put about 800 rds thru it and at the range i noticed the cylinder was getting harder to release. i've never had a problem from any of my smith's but reading this forum i looked to see if the injector rod was loose. it had but when i tried to tighten it , it felt rough. i got a few turns and now the cylinder opens easy. should the rod have backed out? i've never had this happen to my outher revolvers. should i send it to smith? could there be a reason this happend?
