I have a question for all of you out there.

Can you get a longer (more than 105mm or 4.133in) barrel for a S&W Model 659?

I have a chance to buy one for a good price from a fellow collector who has one, but it is currently prohibited (he is 12-6 grandfathered) here in Canada with the original manufactured barrel length.

If he can get a longer barrel to make it legal, then it can registered and re-classified as being restricted only and then be able to sell it.

Also, what would the cost be for a barrel if you can get a longer one?

Most all of the aftermarket barrel manufacturers offer extended barrels.
