The rear sight blade on my 66-2 was broken so I ordered a replacement and received it yesterday.
I've changed these out a couple of times before but this one has more problems. Looking for some suggestions before I get a bigger hammer.
When I tried turning the adjustment screw clockwise to break it, I found that the screw was already broken. I removed the head of the screw but now can't remove the threaded shaft and the nut on the other end. I believe it is still partially threaded into the nut.
I figured I should be able to use a center punch and tap the screw/nut out the left side but it's not moving. The sight blade itself feels very tight and is not moving.
Any suggestions? Drill out the nut? Drive the assembly out?
UPDATE: Never mind, I spoke too soon. Drilled out the nut and blade is out. it's done.
Thanks,
Craig
