Default M&P rear sight screw

What size is the allen screw on an M&P pistol rear sight? Of all my tools, I don't seem to have one that fits it. Going to the hardware store tomorrow to see what I can find.

Even if you find the right size, you may a job moving that rear sight. They are usually VERY tight, having been installed with a hydraulic press. Those sights are not designed to be held in place by the set screw. It provides some insurance, but the sight should stay perfectly in place even if you lose the screw.

I just checked mine and it seem to be 1/16". But it was a slightly more loose than I would have expected. 5/64" wasn't even close to going.

You may want to invest in a set of both inch and metric allen wrenches. They are inexpensive and you're gonna be using them the rest of your life.
