Default Fitting 22LR aux cylinder to M53

Wondered how easy/difficult to fit one of these, the 22
cylinder came with the 6",B/C gap was .004 timing was spot
on in this gun with the jet cylinder, also. I switched it into
the 8-3/8" it fit fine but timing was off, switched a different
hand timed perfectly on both cylinders. The B/C gap opened
a little to .006 but see no problem with that, there is a very
small bit of endshake in the 6" but again see no problem,
both guns are 4 screws. The 6" barrel throat is perfect do not
believe it ever fired Jet ammo, the 8-3/8" shows wear.I was
curiuos how the wear might affect 22LR accuracy, bottom line
---from me testing at 25yds with 5 shots on paper various
ammo 1-2" groups with no real flyers at all,it doesnt appear
to make any difference. As a side note the INSERTS themselves
were just as accurate, although a pain to work with. When I
retire Im going to get a chrono and see how much velocity
loss there is from that 8-3/8" barrel. Pete
