some how/someone replaced the front insert of my 624 lew horton special with a loose grey insert.

I'm not a very handy guy and need to have the insert replaced. smith & wesson are over 6 months backed up. can you guys lead me to a good smith to fix this problem?

That's actually easier than you think and can be done at home by virtually anyone. Brownells sells an acrylic molding front sight kit where you mix the material and put the mixed material in the sight slot and let it set up, cleaning off the excess on the edges and smoothing off the ramp. Try that out. It's easier than cutting out a chunk of a red toothbrush and fitting it with super glue.
