Default Ejector rod removal, model of 1903

I have this gun that I am trying to disassemble to clean up and restore. You all have identified this as a model of 1903, .32 Long last month. I have removed the ejector rod knob and yoke from the cylinder. I have been trying to unscrew the ejector rod, but it won’t budge. I have tried the clothespin trick, but the rod still will not unscrew. Anybody got any ideas how to get the ejector rod out of the cylinder?

Default Removing the ejector rod from cylinder

Please be sure to have the cylinder charge holes filled with empty cases to support the ejector star no matter what tool or method you employ. I would think your revolver being that old would have right hand threads so lefty loosie, righty tighty. Also soak the threaded end with a penetrating oil and give it time to work
I have a universal tool which clamps around the ejector rod and is made to fit the contour of the rod, preventing damage to the rod while providing the hold facilitating its removal. Purchased from Brownells but manufactured by Grandmasters L.L.C. F.K.A. Power Custom. Brownells part # 713-000-083, Universal Extractor Rod Wrench. Hope this is helpful.
