Default S&W Performance Center

Does anyone have any experience using the S&W Performance Center's gunsmithing service? I have a 65-3 (4" stainless K-frame .357) that is DAO and was made for export. It was imported back to the states and works well, but is fairly scratched up and has a heavy, somewhat gritty trigger. I'd like to have the trigger smoothed out and converted to SA/DA and have the gun glass-beaded.

I see that the "Combat Revolver Package" includes a tuned action and a 'trigger stop' along with the glass-bed finish, while the "Master Revolver Action Package" includes more in-depth action work but doesn't include glass-beading or a 'tuned action'. What does the 'tuned action' include? Would I be happier with the Master package?

I've got no personal experience, but have two shooting buddies who have had to send their PC guns back to the PC twice to get them right. At the end of the day all was good, but since they were PC guns to begin with to me it seems that two trips back to get things correct is out of line. Just my opinion but I think they need to go back to school. IMHO TRUE Gun-smiths are few and far between these day. If you find a TRUE GS, don't ever complain about the cost. This is the experience MY friends have had, - other's here on the Forum might have had better ones - let's hope so!

A while back I sent a beat up ex-NYPD Model 64 in for the combat package.
Its "vapor hone" finish was mostly gone and I didn't care for what the Scotch-Brite rubdown did.
Sent it primarily because the DAO was short-stroking, but the bead blast was a another good reason.
Came back in short order, running fine.
Surprise, it now had a Wolfe spring set in it.
Action was smoother and lighter.
I have done a number of them following Jerry Miculek's DVD that are as nice, or nicer.
Here's the finished product:

Overall, fair return on the investment.

Thanks for the reply. I'm tempted to just do the combat package and call it good, I'm sure converting it to SA/DA will cost at least $100 all by itself.
