Which texture is right for you really boils down to personal preference.
The granulate grip provides the most positive interface between the user and the platform, but it does feel like sandpaper and can cause irritation during concealed carry and/or snag on your clothing. The abrasiveness of this texture can be knocked down by sanding the grips with some 120 grit sandpaper. We recommend doing this prior to installation.
The rubber grip also provides a positive engagement with the platform without the possible downside of irritation or snagging. This grip out performs the polymer surface, and is most noticeable when hands are wet. This grip also can provide comfort over the factory grip on heavily stippled firearms where the slippery stippled polymer can cause irritation with prolonged shooting.
Hope this helps, and we hope others respond to help you choose the grip that is right for you!
