polishing
I have noticed the pristine photos members have been posting and I would like to know what is best for polishing my model 27 with a nickel finish?

There is a thread in the "1896 to 1961" area about how to
polish a nickel pre model 27. Check it out.

I have had excellent results with Flitz and a micro fiber towel - gently. I did completely disassemble the gun before doing so to make sure no residue remained inside the gun. Polishing is not something I'd do on a regular basis.

Follow up the polishing with a good wax job. I use renaissance wax, but many here swear by Johnson's paste wax.
