Default Loose extractor head

Hi Gents,
I had a model 610 come in last week with a problem I've not seen before. The gun came in because one of the extractor location pins had fallen out, and he said it was not going back in straight after ejection. However the whole head of the extractor was loose on the shaft. Is it swaged on? and is there a better fix than laser welding it?
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
Cheers

The extracters are assembled by induction brazing, so you aren't going to weld it. Does the gun have the old style "round" extractor? I would assume so if it has pins! Even if you run your own shop the best answer is to send the gun to S&W as they will not sell you the old style extractor unless you are an authorized service center, but then you would have known this already.
