Two questions on replacing the fiber optic rod on the 10 8 Front Sight on my FS M&P:

I swapped over to the red FO rod for a change, from the light green. It seems to me the red is a little dimmer than the green. Is that normal or somehow did I mess up the FO install?

The rod is 0.060" from what I gather. Truglo makes a replacment rod set in 5.5"x060". The 10 8 web site lists rods at a buck apiece, but no lengths. Would I have any issues in using the Truglo rods in a 10 8 sight?
