REFINISH GRIPS
Recently acquired an original set of N frame coke grips. They are in reasonable condition except wood is oil soaked and a few dings, etc. Value wise is refinishing them a negative? If not, suggestions for who to contact for this type of work?

DWFAN is a vender on this forum. See Forum Vendors Category. I have personally not used him but have only heard raving reviews about his work.
The only refinished grips I own are ones that I've done myself.

If done correctly, it will raise value, but if done like most I have seen, lower value will result. Those stocks are quite valuable and it would be worth it to contact a gun stock specialist. If you do not need to re-checker the stocks, I would think a refinish would not be that expensive. You can contact DWFAN by sending him a PM.

DWFAN took a pair of grips that were in terrible shape and they returned in great shape. Wasn't sure he could save them, but they were number matching to my Pre-24 and I told him to try. Like I said, they turned out great. Give him a PM.

Sometimes a good scrubbing with mild soap and water will make the grips look pretty good.

DWFAN works miracle's with S&W stocks. If I had a pair of Cokes that needed attention that's where I would send them.

Mr "E" is slightly tipped at me. I requested some info, his full name, and was told I don't know anything about customer service. I ain't running Macys here junior. Satisfaction in my wares is my only goal. No one ever accused me of being user friendly. You have a nice day now.

I appreciate the vote of confidence but I am NOT the man for the coke restoration.
If I had a pair that needed done, I would send to DWFAN.
My woodworking ability is a Hobby at best and something that I've played around with in the past in my spare time.
Presently, I'm working on suntan and chasing wife.
I'd suggest working out differences with DWFAN and do a couple more searches here on the Forum...... you'll find that his restorations are "the best".

DWFAN = Great work restoring closest to factory original.
VM = Great work salvaging ruined grips into very usable/attractive.
At least thats my view after seeing their threads and WTS sell posts.
