Default Shield field strip? Might I have a problem?

Normally just dry fire to remove slide, however last night I pushed down the lever inside to remove the slide....when I put the slide back on the gun would not cock...had to remove the slide again and push the lever back up and reassemble to get the gun to cock.....?????????? not sure if this is an indication of some kind of problem or not??

Any thoughts or information would be greatly appreciated.....

After you field strip it with the bar down then reinstall slide, once you insert a mag it will push the bar up no issues from what I know.

True. All you have to do after reassembly is insert a mag.
