Engraving
I am seriously considering having my 610 engraved. Has anyone had Michael Gouse engrave their gun? I am thinking about having a Whitetail deer head on the right side plate and 1/2 coverage in scroll work. Any other engravers to consider? Also if any of you have pics especially stainless engraved guns?

John Pease Engraving
John Pease from Mass does excellent work. He has a website with pictures of some of the great jobs he has done in the past.

A buddy of mine had half a dozen or so 1911s done by Gouse. I have a Walther PPK in his hands for engraving right now.
VERY good work for the money. His prices are reasonable and so is his turnaround times.
There are many 100s of high quality engravers out there. Folks like John Pease and Wayne D'Angelo are masters and command master pricing.
A great source for quality firearms engravers is FEGA. Firearms Engravers Guild of America. I was at their annual awards banquet this year and the folks that were honored did some outstanding work.

Gouse is very reasonable. 50% coverage in scroll and a deer head on the side plate for $750, might have to consider 3/4 coverage. I plan on using the gun but don't want it to look gaudy. When I get my GP100 10mm converson back from Dave Clements I may have to send it off to be engraved also.
