Default M&P Striker Pin Spring

Can anyone tell me at one point should the striker pin spring be changed on the M&P. I'm sure it varies, but I'm looking for an approximate round count.

The reason I'm asking is because I had a light primer strike this weekend at the range. I've had the gun for about 11 months and this is the first time this has happened. Just the one time, all other shots were fine. I'm just trying to head off any potential issues.

Thanks

First thing to do is detail strip the slide and thoroughly clean it. Semi-automatic pistols are susceptible to having small pieces being sheared from primers and collecting in the firing pin channel. Not to mention oil and powder residue. Once this is done, and if it doesn't fix the problem, then replace the striker spring.

Besides Alk8944s comments, do you have any idea of your round count? Could possibly be bad primer, or did it fire on another try? I don't recall the PM interval on the striker spring/assembly, but 5 years/5000 rounds is what all the other wear items (springs & such) are.

The round count is approximately 5700. The round didn't fire on second attempt.
