Default 586-5 floating firing pin does not retracting

Hi guys.
Guess posted my enquiry first in wrong rubric. I am new here. Have first a little to learn about how it works. Sorry.

I had a mishap. Raptured primer went into firing pin compartment. Firing pin still moving in and out. Can not take out firing bushing pin. Normally it fell out.
Only after dry fire the firing pin remains outside and needs knocked on to go back.
I can shoot because the recoil is doing the knock. But I don't like it.
Mishap probably overload? No other explainable?

Any ideas or suggestions how to remove the bushing pin and get hold of firing pin?

Thanks for your answers.
Edgar

My advise would be to contact S&W Customer Service, or one of the S&W autorized service centers. Locations and further info on the S&W website.

Customer Service # 1-800-331-0851

Sounds like there may be some damage to the recoil area, including the firing pin bushing and perhaps the firing pin and spring.
