I've been looking at the TK cylinder machining for several years. I have a 25-13 Rocky Mountain Sheep I was thinking of getting the cylinder machined on.
How is accuracy with 45 ACP with these conversions? I can't seem to find any information on this.
Had an opportunity to spend some time shooting a 625 MG with the TK mod. Accuracy seemed fine - I couldn't tell the difference between the Colt and the acp. A good gunsmith did tell me to not shoot hot rod acp ammo. He believed the long jump might lead to forcing cone issue. I do remember that Win. brass was a problem with moon clips in this set up, but all others worked well.
My M25-5 that was converted seemed about the same for ACP and Colt with both lead and jacketed bullets. Accuracy was acceptable for SD but was little off likely due to over size throats.
However, my governor (w/much longer cylinder) seems to shoot the Colt (off hand) a little better than the ACP.
