25-2 FTF
I just purchased a 25-2 #N758xxx. Took it to the range yesterday and it wouldn't fire. Was trying Remington factory 230gr JHP with Wilson moon clips. Very light primer strike. There is no perceptible movement of the cylinder either rotation or for to aft. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check strain screw. My 25-2 doesnt like Winchester primers. Federals are ok.

How light does that trigger feel? Check the strain screw first. Some moon clips are thin and that affects the head space. I have never had a problem with Ranch Products clips. If tightening the strain screw doesn't fix it, and you try some thicker clips, then I'm guessing someone has been inside your gun and possibly replaced the mainspring. If so, get a factory mainspring installed.

Try shooting without the clips. That's usually how I shot the one I had. Never a light strike, and most of the brass would fall out when I opened the cylinder. Agree with above posters the you have a headspace issue or a weak main spring.

Was able to tighten the strain screw. I won't know if that's the fix until tomorrow. Thanks for all the help.

If you got a half turn or more on the strain screw, that is more than likely problem solved
