I'm looking for a hand spring for an old .32 S&W break top. Numrich is out of stock. Any other sources you can recommend? Thanks.

Which 32 top break do you have? Is it a safety hammerless or a double action? What is the serial number? This will let us know what hand spring you have.

It is double action, not a hammerless. SN is 54035. Last patent date on the barrel rib is '83.

It is a 32 D/A 4th model. More than likely made around 1883 or 84. Do you have the old spring? Can you post a photo of it if you have it?

Thanks. I should have checked my Standard Catalog before I posted. You are correct that it is a 4th Model. I have a picture that shows the broken spring, or what's left of it still in the revolver. I'm working on getting the picture out of the email from my gunsmith and into this thread.

In the meantime, it is part 21 in this schematic from Numrich.

If we can't locate a spring, my guy thinks he can make one.
