Sometimes Karma Comes Around - 45 Long Colt / ACP 1950
Started this'n last winter, sent it off to the nickel shop...
Alas, I sent the wrong 45 Long Colt cylinder along with the original ACP cylinder.
Turns out the older 45 LC cylinder was one of the .454 throated ones layin around the shop.
And for a bonus, the ACP cylinder mikes out at .454 as well.
Sometimes good karma befalls us....everything fit up great,
and what with having a life time supply of hard cast .454 'Keith' SWCs it's not so bad a deal at all.

After trying to crack down on budget... I looked at a 5in Barrels M-10... Big mistake. That and hankering after a blued 4in Model 15 isn't helping a bit.

Beautiful collection. Never had been drawn to nickled handguns, but those do draw you in!

Dave din't get to keep that 38/44 OD for very long. He come up to Wyoming on a pasture poodle shootin' safari and left without it. He had a fair pocket full of dollars in his britches when he left though.
I changed the grips for BBQ's and such, but those Keith Brown magnas ain't no slouch neither.
I can tell you it is finer than frog's hair.

Well, Dave and me done some hunkerin' whilst we was gnawin' on some purty good beef sammiches during Frontier Days.
We come to a deal where neither one of us was PO'd, so I guess nobody was hornswaggled.
Those grips are by Schofieldkid81 here on this forum
He's purty handy whittlin' on a good piece of wood.

The bright nickel 45 is a pre-26 (1950) 45 ACP with the addition of a 45 Long Colt cylinder.
The brushed nickel 44 Special started life as a transitional Outdoorsman.

Dave & Iggy,
I had about persuaded myself that I could do without a bunch of N-frames and just stick to Is, Js, Ks and the occasional L-frame, but if you keep showing off all those pretty bigger guns, I'll just keep on weakening in my resolve. Whichever of you put that pair of stocks from Schofieldkid81 just put the finishing touches on the ole OD. He doesn't have to hang his head around anybody for the work he does... it's top drawer!
