Default K frame hand torsion spring.

I need some springs for some K frame triggers. I ordered some from Numrich and they were too short: .540" end to end. I've not had good luck with them in the past so I tried another source and got the same springs. I finally pulled a good spring from my K frame and it's .649".
Does anybody know how to get this spring? It's for a 14-3
I've been ordering "K frame hand torsion springs".

Thanks,

Jeff

The last ones I got were direct from S&W.

Thanks very much. The last time I tried to get a part like this for an older gun from S&W they told me they were no longer made. At that time they referred me to Jack First in SD. So I went with them after Numrich and they also supplied springs that were too short. I talked to them this morning and they told me that they got the ones they sold me from S&W.
They sent me part #7040. I needed #5118. They said #5118 had been replaced by #7040. She looked in a used spring bin and found a longer one and is sending to me at no charge.
After your response I called S&W and they have this spring and are also sending it at no charge. It will be interesting to see if either one works.
In the mean time if some one needs a #7040 (which is .540" end to end) let me know.

Jeff
