Default Spare parts

Hello. After shooting service rifles for almost 20 years, I have a collection of spare parts for both my A3s and Garands. Following the philosophy of Murphy, with the projected role of my 439, I think it is time to acquire some spare parts.

First, what is the pound rating for the Model 439?

Second, are the barrels from the 39/59 series (particularly first and second generation) drop in interchangeable?

Thanks!

I assume you are talking about the recoil spring in the 439 which is 14lbs. I get mine from Wolff Gunsprings and I'm quite happy. I've never tried swapping barrels, but I wouldn't think they are just a drop in.
