Default Cylinder Release Thumb Piece Problem.

All I did was remove and then reinstall the thumb piece on my K frame, and now all of a sudden, the cylinder releases with great difficulty. Don't believe it's an ejector rod problem, as I've never shot it and it was fine before I removed the thumb piece. Any ideas?

I mean no disrespect since I'm normally all thumbs, but is it possible you did the reinstall improperly (cross threaded or not flush fit)?

Old cop,

Pretty sure I didn't cross thread it. I will remove it and try reinstalling it when I get home. Thanks.

Took it off, and carefully put it back on. Was not cross threaded, but evidently I did not have it completely flush with the frame all the way around, as it works much better now.

Usually takes a little wiggle of the bolt to get the thumb piece into the frame window.
