Default Remove finish from M&P slide ?

I really like the dual tone look (black frame, stainless slide) on auto pistols.
I have several M&P's, some are marked stainless on the slide, some are not.
On the stainless marked slides, I would like to remove the factory finish, probably by bead blasting.

My question, have any of you ever done this, how hard is the factory finish to remove ?

They are all stainless.
Nitro carburized.

It's hard to remove as it isn't a coating but a surface treatment so you are going to have to remove some metal to get through it and it will likely not look so great once you do. Might consider sending it off to a good coating shop and get it coated in a color you like.

Belt sander. You aren't removing the finish by polishing.
