Model 41 Rear Sight Removal
I would like to remove the rear sight from my 2014 vintage model 41 PC to make room for a different optic set up. Does this sight simply drift out of the dovetail or is there a hidden pin / screw to deal with? Does the sight need to drift left to right or vice versa? Thanks in advance for any information you can share.

I put a Ultra Dot red dot "scope" (does not enlarge image) on my 41 without removing the rear sight.

Check out this thread: Model 41
From the picture shown in post #9 it only appears to have the dovetail.

A call to the tech support at S&W should get you an answer.

Don't have a 41 to look at, but AFAIK, all S&W sights remove from left to right, i.e. toward the ejection port.
