40S&W to 9mm conversion barrels

I have a full size M&P 40 (4.25" barrel) that I am thinking of converting to 9mm. I see conversion barrels listed from Storm Lake, and then I have heard that you can just install a factory 9mm barrel.
Have any of you done either conversion, and how did it work out ? Any other source of conversion barrels other than Storm Lake ?
