Default bedding release agent

Anyone know of a source for release agent used in glass bedding without buying the entire bedding kit? If not are there any other things that could be used to keep the epoxy from bonding to the action?

I have used vaseline on simple surfaces. If the surfaces get complex I fill the complexities with modeling clay and then apply the vaseline.

For years I've used Johnson's Paste Wax.
Buy it in big yellow cans at most any hardware and Walmart store.

It's useful for a lot of things, but it works great as a release agent.
I use a brush to brush on a coat. DON'T wipe it off, just left dry 10 minutes or so.

Unlike the usual liquid release agents the wax can plug small holes or recesses the epoxy might flow into and cause trouble, and best of all, clean up is just wiping it off with paper towel or an old tee shirt.

It's also used to maintain leather, like good holsters and belts, and can be used to protect guns and knives during storage, among other jobs.
Salt water duck hunters apply a heavy coat to their shotguns and warm with a hair drier to melt it on the metal to seal it from moisture and prevent rust.

I use 'soft' car wax in a can. I apply it w/a toothbrush scrubbing it on and into all the part(s). Let it dry w/o wiping any of it off.
Don't be stingy with it.

If there are voids to fill,,I put a piece of scotch tape over them first before applying the wax. Sometimes I fill tiny holes with clay but prefer the scotch tape as I don't have to dig the clay out of threads or small holes afterwards. The tape sticks very well to clean smooth metal.

I've tried lots of different release agents,,this works the best for me.
