Default Cylinder play model 66

Place a flash chromed combat smooth trigger in model 66 took hand from old trigger . Wanted to check action before replaceing side plate worked fine cocked hammer went to check movement in cylinder nice and tight. Placed side plate back grips on cocked trigger back to check for play cylinder spinning . Place old trigger and hand back cylinder stayed lock. What can be the problem.
Thank you
